Ballpark: A's in the Bronx

Looking at CC's stats I wasn't surprised with the outcome. Nonetheless just one win would have made my day. In the end the A's were unable to escape from NY with a win.
Looking at the standings and with the loss in NY, the A's have now dropped six of their last eight, as they finished a 10-game road swing through Cleveland, Texas and New York with a 4-6 record. The club returns home Friday to start a run against the visiting Angels and is probably hoping to turn its East-Coast stay into a distant memory.......hopefully :-)

Family: Postman arrived! Finally!

I made a promise to our son for his first schoolday. Fact is: He's very keen on motorcycles and american muscle-cars and hot rods. Guess it's in the blood :-)
Now he loves the classic Ford Mustangs from the 60s and as a gift for his first day in school it had to be one of these...not real of course...put preferably radio-controlled. Since we're living in a small world I tought to myself, that this should be feasable. Took me about three days to find a shop that sells one of these (btw he owns already a RC Ford Mercury 1950). Everything went fine an the postman delivered this fine piece of plastic. Imagine my sons face with a big grin while unpacking :-)

Ballpark: Toronto Blue Jays at Oakland Athletics

Alright! Was rather surprised about the Athletics 6:2 over the Jays. The A's took advantage of a pair of wild pitches by Brandon Morrow granted, but he was making his first start since his one-hitter and also two Jays errors. Dallas Braden went seven solid innings for the win....I like this guy......

Home: Small Project Finished

Well it was about time! Took me a bit, but finally the headlights, windshield and horn are on the bike! Before you ask...Bike's a '99 Kawasaki Vulcan 1500 Drifter.
